SC Association of Nonprofit Organizations Nonprofit Conference | April 17-18, North Charleston

COLUMBIA, SC - The South Carolina Association of Nonprofit Organizations (SCANPO) will hold its Eleventh Annual Nonprofit Conference April 17-18, at the Sheraton North Charleston in North Charleston, S.C.  Anyone is welcome to register for the conference.  A copy of the program and registration information is located on the SCANPO Web site at www.scanpo.org.
The SCANPO Annual Conference is the only statewide event where national speakers and statewide experts convene to educate and inspire our foundation leaders, corporate giving officers, nonprofit executives and professionals working daily in our communities. There will be 35 professional development workshops available throughout the two day conference with topics ranging from organizational management, grant writing, fundraising, marketing and communication, financial management, and more.

A special awards luncheon on Thursday will recognize the 2008 Excellence in Nonprofit Management recipients.  This competitive award, sponsored by Blackbaud, recognizes outstanding achievements in exemplary management practices of SCANPO’s member nonprofit organizations.  SCANPO will also deliver the Public Service Life Time Achievement Award, which documents and celebrates people that work to enhance the well-being of nonprofit organizations, our communities and our constituencies through leadership in the public policy arena.

The S.C. Association of Nonprofit Organizations represents the charitable nonprofit community in South Carolina, which is more than 11,000 strong.  SCANPO is the statewide resource center for nonprofits and provides services such as nonprofit management training, advocacy, information, research and cost savings programs for over 800 member organizations.
