Because of the support from those who value the arts, the South Carolina Arts Alliance (SCAA) is able to provide these services in protecting, promoting and developing the arts industry in South Carolina.

  • Maintain an effective arts advocacy network of friends of the arts and arts education
  • Coordinate advocacy alerts and updates while building an informed advocacy base on state and national issues affecting the arts
  • Host state and national Arts Advocacy Day
  • Publish resource materials for networking and information
  • Provide technical assistance through subsidies for travel and training, forums, consultancies, workshops an conferences
  • Develop and maintain a Peer Advisory Network to provide affordable technical assistance to the field
  • Collaborate with local arts agencies and other statewide arts and cultural agencies while representing S.C. with national and regional art service organizations
